contract cleaning-data protection act
« on: August 18, 2010, 03:36:14 pm »
Hi we are about to start a contract cleaning for some offices and we got asked for a data protection act.i called I.C.O.(Information Commissioner's Office) who deals with the data protection act and said that us as a cleaning company providing cleaning services for the client doesn't apply to us.so they are the ones that need to have a data protection act not us.so i told them that and they still insist that we should have this data protection act .
anyone have more details about this matter ?thanks

hi there

thats just a confidentiality agreement between the two parties, its the client responsibility to protect his data, not just from you but everyone including their own staff.
