I have to keep changing this post, you guy are posting to fast.

Hi James and Steve,

Have you used your Airflex for pre spraying yet?
If you have a heater you can put it down HOT without having to replace o rings every 5 mins.
Haven't tried it yet as I need a lance, but I can see it could work well.
Cheers
Rab.

Rab how do i do that, i dont at the moment have an inline heater but thinking about getting one

I've only had the Airflex 2 weeks Rob and I've got a love/hate relationship with it.

The 3rd vac is a massive step up from the Ninja and I will soon have to get a glide, plus the solution tank is bigger than the Ninja, so not as much filling and emptying.

BUT, I find packing away a real pain. I can't put my arm in the waste tank to pull out the fluff without knocking off the filter - plus who's bright idea was it to put the waste dump valve above the electric cables.

That coupled with having to make sure it is completely empty, because I have to load it on it's back due to the raised floor on my van is peeing me off at the moment.

Must admit I haven't used the heater yet, I've spent the last week cleaning with nothing but Pure Clean and a cold water rinse just as an experiment and have been getting very good results.

I spoke to Mat about my same observation putting a gatevalve directly above the power supply seema a bad idea, he assured me that "no bare cables or connections are there, this is just where the cables enter the machine" i wish they werent there as it would be handy to site the edge of the bucket on the lip underneath, how do you completely empty it as running the machine dry is meant to be bad for the pump, luckily i can get it in the van standing up i have a dispatch.

James

The Scorpion has in its clean tank two hoses - a water pump suction and a return pipe (so that when you not wanding the water is not building up pressure but returns to the clean tank).
These 2 hoses are long enough to come out of the tank and you could dangle them in a bucket of water by the side of the machine.
You could have a prespray in that bucket and just clean water in the tank.
You need a lance and then you can prespray from the bucket, then put the hoses back into the clean tank ready for wanding.
Lots of good design features of the Scorpion.
Maybe Matts Airflex is something similar.

Yip. That`s right Joe, it is. I need to get a lance and a 10lt container.
But that can wait for now as I`m off up the Highlands for a week.
No phone. Excellent. Apart form the rain and the dreaded midges, should be a good one.  8)

There is a cut out in the bottom of the solution tank to take 1.5" hose so you can get the last bit out, I guess there's around 500ml you can't get at. I rinse the recovery tank out with any water left in the solution tank using the priming hose and vac the last little bit on 2 vacs

Looks good, how long does the charge last Jason?

I  charged it when new , and have used most days since april , I only put 10 litres a time in it , and I  recharged it last week. I do not put it on my back , I just carry it with the handle.

I have the slightly older version it is only a motorbuke battery, pump and relay attached to a switch, so nothing much to go wrong.

This sprayer along with the spray wands supplied with Restomates  sprayers would make the ultimate spraying machine.

Hi Jason

Do I have to ring up and ask for a lance with flat fan jet for pre-spraying? I didnt understand the drop down fitting selection ???

Thanks

Mark

recently got an ebaY "as new" clarkes 15litre back pack pump sprayer - awesome on bigger jobs, did over 1000  sq metres first job with it which also included a post spraying of  insecticide (interchangeable jet head available) - my left tricep "pumping" muscle burned a bit but since then have killed off some pretty huge jobs with this setup and its been brill - tho bit of a pain when using hot ultra pac !!! lol. Best £15 i ever spent on CC kit!!  they are around £60 new I think from machine mart.  Still want a  5 / 10litre steel gloria like as they are the dogs.....
