I've got three Ryobi PPW3000's petrol pressure washers which have 200 bar pressure (3000 psi). On the whole they run well, but trying to get replacement parts for the subaru engine is nigh impossible and it doesn't have the capacity to work off a tank/barrel.
I'm looking to upgrade and i'm getting baffled by the various options. 2 machines that I'm looking at are the Aquawash PCW3000 with a GX340 engine, interpump, 2:1 gearbox, 11 HP coming in at £1345 plus vat, the Pramac PW30 with a Honda GX390, interpump, 2:1 gearbox, 11 HP coming in at £999 + vat or the JWD Honda Cobra with Honda GX 340 but apparently it is direct drive?
Any thoughts on the above? I need it to work off mains and tank and I'm not sure if gearbox or direct drive is better.
Also, can anyone advise on chemicals? Most of our pw work is drives, patios, walls and up until now we haven't used any chemicals, but i've noticed that after a few months some the areas cleaned have a build up of limescale and need cleaned again - is this nornmal or should we be using a chemical?
Thanks
Rob
