I've got 3 brodex alloy hydras and find them great.
I'm heavy handed, so they suit me perfect

Great poles for the money,
better buy than GF.
not quite as good as Carbon as they are heavier, but well worth the ££££

a lot more rigid than the glass fibre and stronger too.
i must admit i love my hydra alloy 25footer and its my main pole.i changed pole hose to streamline 5mm and supalite brush and now its the business!!
the brodex pole hose will come in handy for conny roofs as i can pop it on my unger pole, connect it up to custys outside tap and scrub away!!(with stiff vikan sill brush on the end!!)
