Hi,

That depends whether or not its a carpet right woolmix special. 99%pp 1%wool, as that wouldn't absorb much.

An 80/20 or the likes would absorb the protector fine, a bit like your hair absorbs water when you take a shower. After all its just sheep hair.

I always thought it was the opposite ???  that it was only affective on wool carpets as it would just go to the base/ backing of polyprop carpets.

Wool has a moisture retention rate of 18% so protector would be far more likely to be beneficial to wool carpets than Nylon which has a much lower moisture retention rate at just 4.5% and Acrylic 1.5%

b******s. I have just dealt with an insurance claim where the guy had a new carpet fitted and after a while he complained about discolouration. Both the supplier and manufacturer attended his home and both reported back that it was shading due to wear. He still wasn't happy so they sent me out and the guy has a classic case of BHT yelowing. They know nowt!

This just about sums up Carpetpoope.

All their sales people have to be able to do is read a label and use a calculator.
They were probably selling mars bars before they got a job there.

No product knowledge - no customer service skills - no idea about installation.

The scurge of the carpet industry (You can probably tell I don't like them much  ::))
