Will it clean
« on: July 02, 2010, 02:02:52 pm »
Got to go look at 40sq m of Floatex tonight.
Presume it can be HWE after pre spray as normal.
Never cleaned it before so input appreciated.

Hi John,

you can clean it HWE! but i find it comes up better if you go over it with a micro fibre bonnet mop after Extraction cleaning! But if it's really heavily soiled it can be really difficult to clean because the soil fuses to the backing!!!

Hope this helps

Have done flotex before, just the sucking up that was an issue, need to adjust the angle of the wand so you can suck it up,as the solution just bounces off it

Good advice from both of the above.  Good prespray is the key along with good wand technique.  If its greasy soil apply Prochem PowerBurst, Allow 5 minutes dwell. When  you extract hold the wand higher up than normal, the reason been you will get lock down on flotex.  Bonnet the flotex after extraction, this will remove any soil left behind from extraction.

If your going to bonnet after the hwe john you will have to get the buffer handel as low as pos as the resistance is great with the pads on and dont let th pad  get to dry..

Flood and scrub is the manufacturers guidlines for cleaning flotex. I done a bike shop recently with flotex. Didn't bother with sprayer, just mxed up hot prespray in bucket and threw it on. Slow speed rotary to scrub, rinse extracted and post bonneted. Come up like new.

We used to clean flotex in the entrance to the kitchen in a very busy Birmingham City Centre Hotel.  We used to pour buckets of hot prespray onto that then extract.  This was due to the fact that it would be really thick in grease.  If its not to bad then spraying is fine.

I did a Medical Centre yesterday and you need to get the crud up first before you wet it, I used my host machine and my sebo vac, then I flooded with hot pre spray and hwe, the results in some areas were astonishing and in some areas even after a few scrubs and pre spray again and again came up OK, the practice manager was delighted as she knew how much work I had put into it, I turbo dried as I went along as it makes it easier if you need to redo any areas.

But pre vac is an absolute must IMO.

Andy

Was it in Bishopthorpe? If so yes.
I used to have a caravan at Acaster Malbis up to the
end of last year.
She saw my logo whilst I was parked up buying a paper
and made a note of it.
That was 12 months ago.

I have Craftex Champion, Trafficlean, Powerburst, Fabric Restorer
and good old UR.
