Is there such a thing as a small portable fast fill RO?
« on: June 16, 2010, 09:26:43 pm »
I want a small RO filter that will fit behind a small 6L DI canister so I can fill barrels from customer's outside taps.  It's got to be a 'fast fill' type, since I don't want to be hanging about.

Can anyone recommend one?

Why not a twin DI system? would be much quicker but expensive on resin if tds is high. Can't imagine a small RO system could be made fast enough or cheap.

I was thinking maybe making your own. Didn't Ionics do a twin cannister system for a stupidly high price?

I think I'll just stick with the DI!  Thanks, Dave.

I assume you mean I run tap water through both, using the old resin in the first; using that one as a kind of filter?  Then when the resin in the first DI is thoroughly exhausted, replace the resin and using the 'old' DI as the first one.

Hey, thanks!  ;D

whats your tds out of your tap tosh?mines 35-40 most of the time.i have a big 25L vessel for purifying at home and a small 2.7L DI vessel in the van for topping up on the job.

i take 250-300L of pure water with me every morning and ive not used more than that but that will probably change over time!! ;) ;D

i can always top up another 100 L while im out at work!

Have a look on ebay because there is a small system on there for the domestic market, Just connect to customers tap and away you go.
