Starting a New Cleaning Business - Help Needed
« on: June 10, 2010, 09:07:43 pm »
Hi All im new to this forum and its wonderful that issues, thoughts, suggestions and advise can be shared in such manner.

Im at a stage of starting off a new cleaning business in Essex and M25 corridor. AS im new to this area any advise, suggestions, etc will be much appreciated. I have researched extensively and found few companies who provide full business packages for new starters.

First company was Spinaclean.com who said i can invest £1k +vat and get started and add accessories etc as i expand customer base.

I wanted to know which essential items will i require i.e van with buffer tank? pressure washer? etc a

does anyone know of any companies who sell vans fitted with buffer tank etc???

2nd company: sealeant who said my min investment has to be £3K + vat.

Im very keen to purchase the spinaclean £1k package and your thoughts and advise will be much appreciated. Ive also come across a site which provides help http://pressurewashingcoach.co.uk/equipment.html  can anyone tel me if i require all that to start off with. Spinaclean also does courses for start ups which is very ideal for me.

As i work in the medical field im hoping to employ my nephew and one other person with experience. can anyone suggest where i can find reliable and experienced personnal who is willing to work part time to begin with.

Which van will be ideal to start off with??? as ive got a very tight budget.

Im hoping to charge residential customers £2.20 per sq.ft of block paving cleaned and sanded. plus extra for resealing, and for use of weedkillers. Any suggestions on this?
Commercial customers will depend on size of area to be cleaned.

This is my first step of getting the business started the 2nd stage will involve getting into window, carpet, and gutter cleaning.

ANY SUGGESTIONS AND ADVISE WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED

I THANK EVERYONE FOR THEIR ADVISE INADVANCE.
