Thanks George,

Like you I know of wheelie bin cleaners who discard their water illegally.  One competitior has even put his waste pipe through the floor of his van and discards it as he's driving !!!!!

I am a bit confused on one thing though.  Is the window cleaners licence discussed here the same one as your street traders licence ?

I thought this was a seperate one altogether.  If not does it mean your scottish w/c need one for trading and one for collecting ?

Thanks,

Sarah

Hi
If you canvass doors and work in the street i.e. clean windows and wheelie bins and collect money at the door you require a street traders licence.

In small rural areas you often get a licence which does not specify your trade profession etc.

In larger cities you get a street traders licence which will say you are a window cleaner or a wheelie bin cleaner or a fishmonger etc.

Cheers

was stopped by 3 cops last night whilst out collecting
they told me "heard about you getting done for not having your licence on you" "was it really in the car?"
when i explained the details they were very apologetic and told me " aye the one who charged you is a bit of a pr**k,its a**hol** like him who give us a bad name

We seem to have spells where we're stopped by the police and asked for licence details ect. The last time it happened (two weeks ago) was because they had nothing to do & were bored.......
