Help with pricing..
« on: May 22, 2010, 04:43:15 pm »
I have a customer who would like the following done on her 4 bed detached property. I have never powerwashed before so have no clue how to price this all up but hjope it will go a long way to paying for my powerwasher I haven't yet purchased.

105 sqm block paving last done 2 years ago. Needs doing again with patches of lichen but not in a terrible state. Wants it resanding but not sealing.

20 sqm ivy to be removed from her walls.

37mtr guttering to be emptied

37 mtr soffit/facia/gutter to be washed. It is painted wood, not PVC.

Cheers for the help.

Hard to say with the ivy without seeing it. A well established ivy removed from a wall (does she want you to dispose of it too?) that size could take a couple of days if you intend to do a pucker job. You'll never get rid of all the tendril marks left on the brick-work, but its COULD take you a long long time that one, particularly if she wants a good job done.

She needs to be asked how good a job she wants otherwise you could regret taking that on.

Well established isn't the word for the ivy. It covers all of one wall and half of another right up to the gutter on a two story house.

She wants it removing from one wall completley and cut back to half height on the other. I did tell her that it wouldn't be perfect on the ivy unless she wanted me there for a week.
