Brick seal
« on: May 06, 2010, 03:59:08 pm »
I need to seal some bricks on a house wall after I have pressure washed them.
I'm looking for something like Thompsons water seal. But do you kow of any similar chemicals? I need to buy in bulk really. I dont neccessarily need 'thompsons' as long as it is good stuff.

Can anyone reccomend anything?

Cheers

Just use an acrylic drive sealer - don't use a water based sealer as any subsequent coats don't penetrate

He wants to stop the regrowth of moss and algae.
If I use drive sealer i'll have to cover all the frames and glass.

The customer wants it sprayed on. He said thats what was done to his last house.
Is there anything you know that can be sprayed on and that doesnt matter if it has got on the windows and frames. something that wont damage it but be just rinced off? .... does something like this exist or will it need to be rollered on ideally?

This house is over two stories high by the way so spraying sealer could get messy with any wind!

There is a company called mossgo that does moss and lichen remover and prevention. But they charge a lot.
Do you know where i can buy a much cheaper version of that, as mossgo is just a label.

Cheers guys
