Quite incredulous...... as is usual when you ask " how much "do you charge for your services !

Consider for a start............there are many variations in suite sizes, construction, fabrics, so it's impossible to give even a ballpark figure !

Some suites have fixed cushions and can be cleaned in an hour, while some have awkward sculptured shapes / deep buttons / additional small cushions and might take as long as three hours.

Another problem with modern designs is agreeing with the customer about whether it's a 2 seater or 3 seater !!!!

For a kick off, Karl Wildey asked this question and I was helping out... To be honest, I really don't care less how much other people charge, but I have a minimum charge per seating area which is probably how I should have worded it.... If I really cared that much!

Nobody's demanding you  answer Robert, it's just that "most" people will probably have an average.

I too was having problems with prospects over the question two or three seat sofa? So now I write them down as small and large sofas. No conflict.

For enquiries on the phone, I'll ask whether the chair seat cushions are the same or smaller than the sofa's.

Safe and happy quoting :)

when quoting over the 'phone i ask how many people can sit on the sofa, some people think that 2 cushions equals a 2 seater!! also when quoting i ask as many questions about the suite that i can, what cushions come off, which ones are fixed, do the arms zip away, has it been wet cleaned before, i think you can get a pretty good idea what you're walking into with experience,
