Hi Gavin,
You add it to your waste/recovery water tank.
Regards,
Paul

Gavin
add two or three capfulls of liquid defoamer down the vac hose just take off your tool or wand while vacs are on and suck it through. this will line your vac hoses and create better airflow i always do this when using porty also add a little in the waste tank never skimp on the defoamer will pro long the life of your vacs
regards rich
ps when rinsing out the shower gel remember cold rinse will produce less foam

Same as Paul.
Use fib and fab in solution tank as the acid rinse seems to neutralize foam and suds.

Gavin make a strong solution of fabric conditioner(pre-test in an inconspicuous area) and spray and vac the gel spillage repeatedly until the foam stops, then clean as normal. You can also eradicate foam by spraying WD 40 into foam build up in tank or down the vac pipe. Mike

Whilst this might work on standard cleans it will not work when dealing with high foaming situations like this job.
Defoamer through the recovery pipe at regular intervals.
I would also suggest you check your waste tank every 10 minutes just to see if it's working (the defoamer).

Get on their mailing list or visit their web site http://www.prochem.co.uk/pdf%20graphics/Cleaning%20Specialist%20Issue%2022.pdf (defining Defoamers)
At least you were advised! Bloody nightmare with a TM you go out for a fAg and all you can see is bubbles definitely a thriller

Agree with above mix in bucket sit cuff hose on the surface sucking through the pipes
place some in recovery tank you could also leave a bar of soap in the tank this will reduce the problem
MOST IMPORTANT KEEP YOUR MACHINE IN SIGHT AS NEAR TO YOU AS YOU CAN GET IT.
motors hate blowing bubbles it kills them
nothing worse than turning round and you have a scene from mr matie bath time fun ;D

I found that the dirty water came out the exhaust onto the floor, and you can`t see it intil it leaks out from under the machine. It is a thing you do ONCE :(
-
yes been there done that never thought of putting some in the hose good idea ;D thats what I like about this site is honesty all share in cock ups and learn the people up and coming in all walks of the industry ;D you cant beat sharing info :-* well done to all the guys that just got there before all others :)

another wee tip is to spray some deformer directly on to the spot/stain (in your case, shower jel spill) Just mix it with cold water in a spray bottle.

Keep a bucketful of mixed up de-foamer next to you when you're working. No need to take the tool off the hose, just every 30 secs draw some into the vac slot of the tool. pre-test the carpet for colour fastness if you're going to put it on the problem area
-
Defoamer does not work in the waste tank . As most people have said run it through the hose .
