Title: Extending waterfed pole

Has anyone extended a standard waterfed pole? I have a 27 foot pole and want to go higher but don't want to pay out hundreds of pounds to do so. I only want another one section (or two if it's easy) and I thought that it would just be a case of finding local plastic tube stockist, buying more clamps and hey presto...Robert's yer Mothers Brother.
Is life this simply? ???
