Steve,

What do you think about the Sebo Duo?

I cancelled mine because of the negative comments.

From what I can gather, Solutions is bankrupt as is Nick the owner. I see that Hydramaster have lent him a bed, lets hope they keep him on tea and coffee dutys only. ;)

Jim

The Duo from John came with 4 bags of powder also.

Simon

It's a lightweight machine so it has its limitations - never used an envirodri so I cant compare. To be honest I like the pile lifting benefit it gives far more than the agitation.

Thanks for the replies.
Does it make a better job than doing it manually with  an agitating brush?

I've never seen him making the brews, just offering sound advice and being a bloody good salesman!

Quite serious allegations Matt, if I may say so.

Don't waste your time with a duo, save  up for a Envirodry Gen 4

I second that. Suggesting he has a bed there implies 24/7 support and come 5.30pm you get an ansafone. :D

I cancelled my order for a Sebo duo because of all the negative comments that came when I asked the question, 'are they any good.' I already have a 15 inch scrubbing attachment for my RX20 and that does a brilliant job and as it is only an attachment it doesn't take up any more space in my van.
Thanks for the advice, guy's.

I'm finding that I'm preferring the Oreck with black scrubbing brush to the Sebo Duo... Less hassle to to clean!

the sebo is excellent on wool carpet, not to harsh and it splits in two so takes up no room on the van.
something to think about.

The sebo and the Oreck are light.

This is partly why they are not as effective as the bigger machines.

If I ran a company where some guy on a salary was cleaning I would tell them to use the big heavy agitator and give them H&S training on how to lift it to cover MY back.  ;)

For the average domestic a sebo or Oreck is plenty, especially if you are using a decent prespray like Powerburst.

What about the Flexi 5?

Am I right in saying that the Flexi 5 warranty is still valid if you use it as an agitation machine with wet pre-sprays, whereas the enviridri's warranty is negated if it is used wet?

Whatever you buy, someone will have a bigger and better one than you mate! That's the way it is one here which is the only downside of this forum...... I use the Oreck Orbiter and the Sebo Duo and recently cleaned a school, I did it section by section and it took ages.... But, I was getting paid by the hour.... (Not telling you how much cos someone'll charge £10 per hour and others £150 per hour ::) (Or so they'll claim))

The Sebo Duo is less work than a manual brush, but it does exactly what you want it to do, it aggitates. Perhaps you should consider a road sweeper to keep the materialistic throbbers on their toes ;D
