Title: Wand tips
Post by: MAX Carpets on September 02, 2009, 08:55:35 pm
Hi all

Does anyone know where to get wand glides, I do not mean the full glide, just the tip to go over the lip of the wand. Its only for a small wand, just to stop moaning men!

Cheers

Justin

Some old wands can dig into the carpet on the forward stroke, but by working against the grain or across the grain this can be reduced, also get them to lower their hands on the forward stroke.

In other words.............check that the best technique is being used. I've seen people " fight the grain " over the years and all they get is a lot of unnecessary pain.

Never used glides although I made up DIY plastic lips many years ago to make it easier to deal with a big hotel job. Long before glides were invented.

Cleansmart used to do tips. Reasonably cheap compared to glides, but never have seen a really good review on them - unlike glides.

this is just a thought
would slider tape work, for the girls out there ;D

run a strip of slider tape over the end of the wand then cut a slit in it, presume it would come off but who knows!
cheap if it did work
