Title: Did I insert my 4040 membrane the correct way?

I don´t know if I made a mistake here or not.

I´ve got a second hand filmtec membrane, XLE-4040. And on one end is a black seal (brine seal?)

That end is now where the inlet is. That should be correct right?

The other end has got two connectors, middle one is pure, outer one is waste.
