Title: charity
Post by: lyndy on August 12, 2009, 06:21:55 pm
we have an idea,we are going to try putting an ad in a local village newsletter, saying we will give 10 pound to charity, for any new custy that uses us for 12 months x 12 cleans.

we will quote a fair price so wont be over charging them, most houses are 15 to 25 pound in the village.

rite im ready to take some stick lol

sounds very cheesy,  sorry but it does

I clean a 11th century  church once a year ( external )  and every 2 years  ( internal/external )    I do this for free as I have a lot of customers who use and help run the church and have a cleaning party.

So I give them a hand ( no gimmicks )    those customers look after me and its a small gesture in return.

Its a good idea Lyndy, but the charity wont see any money for over a year. Why not say x% each month. You need to pick a charity too and put that on the advert.

Yes, I think it sounds cheesy. I wouldn't take you on as my W/C. People will think, that you are trying to make money from other peoples misfortune.

This cancer charity, has it got a building near you? If so, why not clean them for free if you mean it.  Word will get around and you might generate some custom from that.
You have to be careful with charitys, ppl can get the wrong impression.
