Title: Trad equipment

Hope this hasn't been covered recently, I did search.

I need basic trad equipment, for my first cleans coming next week.  What do you recommend ?  I've heard good things when searching/looking back about the Unger brand. 

Do you have a suggestion for a basic kit that will cover me to start.. ?   

Sorry if it's a simple obvious question, it isn't to me as yet...

I'm guessing, Squegee, t-bar, bucket, scraper, Fairy. 

Ohh, and apart from ordering from somewhere like windowcleaningwarehouse online, is there an actual shop/stockist in Merseyside or nearby that I can go and look to see if anything feels right before buying ?

Rectangular bucket
14" applicator and bonnet
14" squeegee and spare rubbers
10" squeegee and spare rubbers
5 x microfibre cloths
GG3 detergent

18" Unger swivel squeegee (highly reccomended)
12" standard squeegee
18" T bar and sleeve
14" T bar and sleeve
bucket on a belt
bucket and lid
2 Unger pouches and click belt
6 microfibre cloths
6" triumph scraper
3 section extension pole

This is everything I use when cleaning traditionally:

Unger squeegee 14"
Unger 4" scraper
Unger applicator ((14" I think)
20 litre rectagular bucker and lid
Fairy liquid
Unger ergotec belt with scraper pouch and bucket on a belt
3 large scrim and 3 large microwipe
Ladder
Step ladder

Thanks very much for the replies, I now have a good idea of what size to buy too, which was something I wasn't sure about.

You know, there's a lot of trade forums (most in fact) where people in the same trade don't have time for new starters - coming along thinking it's all easy and lowering prices and doing a cowboy job and blah blah...........

A lot of other places you'd get - " if you don't know then you really shouldn't be doing it as a business" or " that's the basics mate, read up on it"  etc etc.

i would try cleaning windows with them mucky grey t shirts with the beer slogan on
  you should get a lot of them over your way ;D

swivel lock squeegy,normal sqeegy handles,
6,14,18 channels and spare rubbers,
swivel lock T BAR,normal T BAR,
sleeves{various,scrubber,microtiger,monsoon etc}
bucket on a belt
4inch scraper,small pocket razor,
grade A scrims,microfibres,sill cloths etc,
big 2 pouch pocket,personal bag{for change}
rectangle bucket,vise versa mop/blade,angle adapter,
small extension pole,30ft 5 section tele pole
3.5metre trade ladders,8ft A ladder,
rojak ladderstopper,ladder mitts

this covers everything on domestics and big residential.i can clean virtually any windows with this set up without WFP ;D

i would recommend using the internet to buy your stuff, i had been buying the 5ltr bottles of unger liquid off a local dealer (33miles away) for over 2 years at £28, nearly died when i found window cleaning warehouse, whereas its £9.95 on wcw, and they were that much cheaper on every thing else aswell
