Title: water not sheeting?
Post by: stevieg on July 03, 2009, 10:54:25 am
hi all ,i know that this subject has been raised before but cant find it.I have noticed that over time nearly all of my customers windows are not sheeting as they used to(including my own )Obviously this means that droplets of water are left, and i am convinced that this attracts the dirt in the air and causes marking when dry.
I use copious amounts of water to counter this by rinsing but i am not as happy as i would like to be.Any thoughts /ideas .Has anyone else noticed this phenomenen.
I use different brushes for different jobs with the same result and my water is absolutely fine tds wise so this is not the problem.

Are you using enough water at the moment for it to sheet, don`t forget how hot it`s been lately and the glass is baking hot. When the weather is hot if you don`t use enough water you`ll do a worse job than you will in the colder weather unless you have a hot water system like me lol. ;D ;D ;D

hi, i do use lots of water, and i rarely get any complaints but it is me that is not happy.
however i monitor my own windows and have noticed that even without rain they get dirty very quickly and it appears as spots even when it is clean immediately after drying.I have cleaned some by hand next to wfp ,and there is a noticable difference after a few days .that is what concerns me if the customers are noticing the same, especially as i have said that the glass seems to have changed from sheeting to droplets. Finally the weather has no bearing as i have been noticing this for quite a while.

I'm sure I've read on here that some glass will sheet and some wont, whatever the weather.

I don't think it makes any difference to the quality of the clean; I've not particularly notices any anyway, and more importantly neither have the customers  ;D
