Title: sheen on floor
Post by: gwrightson on March 04, 2009, 07:42:22 am: can you stone experts advise me on the best possible sealer to apply to a stone floor, the custy is not sure sure what type of stone it is , but i,m going along today to take a look ,"will take some pics " she wants it to have a high sheen finish that wont keep wearing out , " her words " she says she uses lithonium at the moment 1 coat only and after 3 or 4 weeks it goes dull and loses it colour. she isnt to bothered about expense of the sealer providing it will last.
So basicly I need a little info as what I should recommend.

Post by: sherco on March 04, 2009, 07:11:50 pm: The one i would use is Aquamix floor shine & hardener, you will need to strip old sealer of the stone using there sealer & coatings remover. You will need a floor scrubbing machine and a wet vac to remove the cleaner from the floor, then wash it with just water to remove any of the cleaner, then leave the floor for a day to dry, then seal following the instructions. where can i purchase this Aqua mix ?

Does it give a high sheen ? this is idealy what she is wanting.

I shall be cleaning using a pressure spinner with vac attached, after applying the stripper.
