Title: WFP..in the Summer..
Post by: Duke on January 26, 2005, 06:19:22 pm
I'd be interested on hearing your views on Summer cleans with the pole. When (on really hot days) I used to use the applicator, it'd be dry before I got the squeegee out......obviously this isn't going to happen with the pole. It must be great to see it drying in front of you...does this help to 'guage' if you've done a good job or not ?

Use a lot more water, & clean in sections going downward.

Its so much harder cleaning in the summer with a wfp. Like Karl says turn the water flow up and you may need to rinse the glass to start with to cool it down before you clean it.

Well I have to be honest, I found cleaning in the Summer easier, I liked the fact that the windows were drying out quicker. The hot weather is far less of a problem for the WFP'er than the traditional cleaner.  ;)

:) I'm glad you said that Ian....Last Summer when I was still on the applicator..Georgian's were a real pain (pane?) in the nether regions....one at a time, then squeegee off....was taking forever...thought I'd had a good day if I made £50....thank big G it's double that (plus) now on the pole....
Another thing is that I might actually be able to wear shorts this time. Wasn't practical last year as I seemed to spend half of the day crawling through prickly plants and bushes....not now...   ;D
