Well here you go. If that helps ;)

There is a frame going all around the tank, Then straps holding it down to the Van

I don`t want to be the one to tell you but those straps are no where near adequate for that tank, the side bits bolted will stop it going sideways maybe but the straps won`t do a thing if you hit anything in that van,if your pottering around where you live then fair enough but for motorway or similar i would be worried. No offense.

Someone was telling me how he regularly carries 1000 litre ibc's in the back of his transit connect full and that he is still able to do a ton on the motorways and  i dont think he straps them down. And no hes not a window cleaner. At least this guy is making some effort to secure his tank.

Can I ask why you have so much water? Even when I have another operator with me 500ltr is enough on commercial all day, and that isnt with it trickling out at all. I use a decent flow rate because it helps you work quick and too much flow can cause problems ( little like a pressure washer, knocking dirt everywhere ),Luke

Yikes! great pictures good to see you both out cleaning but that tank? I wouldn't want to sit in front of that particularly because of it's height, it's going to be pretty unstable. I carry 650ltr in a flat tank and it's strapped to the chassis with the biggest straps i could find. Seriously i would look into changing that especially if you carry your little one in the front too. Wouldn't cost too much really.

The Job I was on was an old residential house so not a lot of people walking about, If I am doing domestic I first stick the hose down on the side of the pavement so its not in peoples way, When I have to go across the pavement Thats when I put the sign out next to it, But can I suggest you get one that the wind does not blow about. ;)

As you can see I have an on and off switch and thats all, no way of slowing the flow down I go through 500 litres a day :o

Will have to sort that out soon ;)

It is a water butt , But it is baffled, The frame that goes around the tank is bolted down to the vans chasis and the straps pull it down.. As for the height, well there are window cleaner companies that use 1000 litre tanks and they seem fine..

About 3 months ago I had to do an emergency stop, Now everthing went flying ( Tools, Cds Toolbox ) but the tank did not move a inch and I mean An emergency stop :o..

But why take the risk I will have the tank looked at and thank everyone for they concern for me and my family  :)

Glyn

Will be off line now untill tomorrow

Thanks

Yeah I would def double check how well secured that tank is - I mean an emergency stop and a head on are two entirely different things - people tend not to die in an emergency stop.

Nice pics, nice bloke. Wish I could be that laid back, if i'd have done it it would have been more steve k style- how long and how much- but there's more to the job than that, so thanks for sharing.

Saying about the house being nothing special i bet lots of people would consider it their dream house.

Don't worry about the strapping down by the way, the 1000l Ibc isn't going anywhere.

Cat, check that the rear of the tank is properly secure, if you have a head on it's going to try and lift upwards and onwards. The tie down hook points in those vans are pretty feeble and so is the rating of that strap. We can't see much detail from your picture, not knocking you, just worried  ;)

650L tank of water = 650kg with everything else in a Peugeot Expert?
That could be very close to over loading.

Its pure water though  ;D Hmmm I remember sitting in the back of a transit with a cement mixer and half a ton of bricks behind me, life has its risks and its up to the individual to access those risks. so should spend time bolting down my tank at the weekend and hope it holds better than the straps,
or should I get the bike out and go for a blat ?
