1 thing worth having not mentioned yet, is a cable. You want it aabout as long as your van with a cigarette socket on one end and crocodile clips on the other.

Incase your battery dies out on you so you can clip the cable onto the battery or varistream wires and tap into your van battery.

I've usually got a spare squeegee rubber, but I haven't even got one of them now, and I really need one.

Think the current one's been on there for about 4 months. ;D

The most important thing for a WFPoler is to carry spare O rings minibore female connecters and pole hose EZ snap tails, there the most common thing to fail in my experience.

Oh yeah, I think I've got two tins of tyre shine too, in case my van needs tarting.

Got a feeling there's a KFC hand wipe in the glove box too.

I've got a spare pump and variflow in the shed, if you buy a spare the old one lasts forever. If you don't the old one packs up and leaves you stranded for days.

I've done the same, but have two sets mounted in the van (you never know). Everything else is pretty much covered, the worst thing of course would be if i lost the van through an accident then i would be up the creek without a paddle!

When my last variflow packed up it just went with no warning. I was at one customer and it was working fine. Got to next customer - nothing. Went home and put a meter across it and there was no output voltage. This is Friday with a whole day to do and work booked in for the weekend.

Phoned my usual supplier, no we are waiting for them to come in. Phoned another supplier to get the answerphone.
So I phoned Williamsons the manufacturer, I was prepared to drive to Sussex if need be. They said a new batch was due in any day. This was no good for me, but they gave me the name of someone else who it turns out had several. Nearer as well.

So when I went I bought two. My pump is two years old so I bought a spare pump at the same time. An expensive day but a lesson learned.

Don't forget a roll of good insulation tape, and an assortment of cable ties, oh and a tube of super glue and a spare wheel for your trolley.

Gulp! that could be expensive if your using a varistream. I've cut my cables so i can't swop the over on the battery terminals by mistake. Unless i put the battery in the wrong way round of course.
