Dear Alex
Thanks for taking time out to show me the new SL-X, albeit the preproduction version. Also meeting your dad Barry. The pole certainly meets all the criteria you could wish for in a pole these days. Also the clamps very simple very secure that stop the pole rotating in situ.
I was very interested in the fact that the new pole is produced in a factory that builds helicopter rota blades -- you could`nt have a product with higher stress demands made on it. Also thanks for the tip about not using PTFE on my EZ connectors.
I look forward to hearing when the SL-X will be available, so I can order mine.
kind regards
Jack Avery

Sorry for the spelling mistake. It should have been helicopter rotor blades.
The new SL-X is made in the same factory.

There's a blind P.S. on that letter! Here it is in full ...
... I hope this qualifies me for £10 off of my purchase, Alex and if I post this on other forums can I have some more discount when the factory finally, (eventually, sometime, never! ;D) get round to making some poles instead of sending all their carbon fibre to Westland-Agusta Helicopters Ltd!

Only £10! well that's the last time i say another good thing about Gardiners.

It was good to meet you as well Jack. Glad you liked the pole and I hope that you enjoyed the rest of your trip in Sunny Cornwall.
If you guys can be bought for just £10 then that's a bargain! I'll get the firm's cheque book out!! :D
