Can any of you fella`s reccomend what ya use for securing your poles, ladders, equipment
in general etc. to your ladder/roof bars or racks on your work vehicle.I`ve been using luggage
straps now for years and have been going to try for something else, but never got around to it.
I`ve a normal gutter clamp roof bar on a Vauxhall Corsa. Thanks for replies.

Hi Lewis
We use climbing rope - available from any outdoor shop. Get the shop to cut it to whatever lengths you need, they use a heated wire and it seals the cut ends. It'll take years to fray and is designed to work in the rain. Have you tried untying ordinary rope after it's been raining :'( - we tether the ladders by using a figure-of-eight loop on a cleat on each upright of the roofrack, and it's a breeze to undo - dry or wet.
