Alex do you have them in stock now?
Ordered from another source on Sunday before I knew you were stocking them, received an email today saying they are out of stock until end of next week >:( took 4 days to tell me this.
If you have them in stock I'll cancel my original order and have some from you.
Thanks

Hi Wayne,
They are selling very fast!
Which style (winter/summer) and which size (M, L, XL) do you want. If you let me know I can let you know whether we still have your size/style in stock.

We have 3 canoe shops here so I'll have a look at some, I use Ungers ones but dont like them, I used to canoe but didnt like wearing gloves, Luke
-
I had some Gul gloves a couple of years ago i got them from a sailing shop,i asked the women in the shop are they waterproof, totally she said, what a liar i said the next day.The ones i had were neoprene on the the top and suede underneath they cost me £45 and my hands were wet and cold in minutes.
-
thats the trouble with neoprene, unless you do boating or canoeing not many people realise untill they use the stuff that is isnt waterproof, its just keep you very warm with a sweaty, watery and smelly layer, Luke
-
Thanks Luke. I've managed to track some down now and are on their way.
Again, the last xl pair they had in stock :o
Must be a lot of big handed window cleaners out there, mind you the xl hands come in handy when collecting all that lovely dosh!!

The trouble with completely waterproof gloves is that they end up smelly, damp and sweaty inside after just a couple of hours of work.
I prefer breathable gloves, yes your hands can get damp in wet weather but at least they don't stink!!
-
The trouble with neoprene is that it does stink after 5 or 6 days use so they will need cleaning, but there advatage is flexibilty and grip, Luke
-
brought some walking/hiking gloves 100% waterproof with gortex £19.99 the lady said most good hiking shops sell them
-
If you have a problem with smelly waterproof gloves, why not buy cheaper ones from say Strauss and either throw them away or wash and use daily.
I have purchased a selection of similar and change twice a day and simply wash at night in the washing machine.
If you need a little fragrance, baby powder is OK

Bought some sealskin waterproof gloves lastweek, £30.00 - superb & best 30 quid ive spent.

Ey? Neoprene is supposed to let water through, it creates in insulating layer which keeps the hands warm.
Alex, how good are these for Traditional? Wringing out cloths and sorts. The new Unger gloves are falling apart after less then a week!!!!!
-
Good pair of Ski Gloves is what you need for WFP. They're designed to keep your hands warm and dry and for gripping poles! Not as good for trad work as they are a bit bulky.

Little tip for those with Gull Gloves. Me being a bit of a girly liked my gloves to be toastie warm in the morning so used to put them on the rad to dry out and ready for next day.
Only had them a few weeks and they are all split and full of holes. They have split on most of the seams. So i presume you're not supposed to dry them like this but to let them dry naturally.
Any advice Alex?
Hey !! Speedliner where did u get them from, may have a spare £30 knocking about ;D

I wouldn't recommend them for traditional window cleaning. For really cold winter weather, especially when it's wet, I would recommend a pair of Glacier Gloves. They are not so good for pole work though as they can wear through quickly. I have a pair which I do use for pole work but only occasionally when it is very cold and wet.

I do dry mine on a radiator but it's best to take them off when they are still supple (after about an hour) not when they are crispy!

usually i find when alex recomends a product he is spot on, but the gul gloves i hated i have large hands and ordered the xtra large not from alex because he wasnt stocking them then when they came i could hardly get my hands in them and within five minutes my hands where wet through and cold so i took them off as it was warmer without them.
having said that i have never wore gloves in twenty five years of window cleaning so maybe i have got used to working this way and i wont get used to any glove.
-
I think this could have been my problem as well. I have very large hands and the XL Gull gloves were still quite tight and could have done with a size bigger. Because they were quite tight I also dont think I got the best out of them either.

Easy clean,
yes they are 100% waterproof as they have a layer in between the fabric.
Not only are they waterproof, they are warm = EXCELLENT when using pole.
Bought them from Blacks, outdoor shop.
