Anyone Advertising on Radio or TV? if so what quanity of jobs do you get? and what does it cost to advertise?
-
You must be off your trolley mate (or your pole or your van mount)
There is no way on earth that this type of ad is cost effective for window cleanng, and I should know as I have been in the ad industry for 20 yrs before getting a better job.

Have you tried?
Did any of your clients try?
From your comments they must of so what sort of business did they generate?
And for it to be cost effective how many clients would I need to get if I charged £10 per house on average? or how many commercial customers would it generate?

You have to pay for a radio ad to be made. £250
Each 30 second ad costs £10-£15.
A campaign would cost £500 min for 1WEEKand would the people listening need a window cleaner. If so how many would actually ring you?
Then there is the area broacast over. Enquiries from far and wide.
So I would not even cosider this type of ad
My yellow pages ad cost me £500 for the year but even then the work resulting was across town and maily domestic so I even pulled that this year.
Canvassing or buying rounds is far more effective

What about TV?

I think your find the cost of Radio alot more. When i had my internet cafe i was going to do it, but when i had a meeting with Essex Radio the cost was over £3k which stopped me doing that there and then, i was shocked at the price.
TV is going to cost loads of money, and your end up with jobs all over the place.
Why dont you give both ago and report back to us after, if it had been a great or bad?
