Just would like to know what anyone uses for the run off on leadlights. Ive used crystal clear and mdr formula b.Does anyone use anything different as have big job to do and because of the rain and not having the windows cleaned for a while the lead has run big time.

personally I have never cleaned off the staining from lead onto glass, I have always told customers, should they ask, that there is little that can be done about it.
If it is an old original leaded window then you could be there an awful long time.
Have always told my customers that it is part of the character of these windows.
To be honest, I didn't even know it was possible to even remove these stains efectively, I shudder to think how long it must take.

If MDR's not working, you could try Jeweller's Rouge, which is a powder. You dip in a moistened cloth and it becomes a paste on the glass, you then use lots of elbow grease! You can get this from some of the larger glazier firms. It works on the same principle as T-Cut for car bodywork, which is probably easier to find. Try some Rouge, or even T-Cut, on a small patch first to see if it works, and then figure out how long the whole thing will take you!
