As promissed more information on our new backpack trolley.
we have been working on our backpack trolley design for some time and here it is in time for windex! The colour may change but the basic design will stay complete with integral hose reel.
The handle is quickly removable.

my opinion
and you did ask for comments
it looks like a DIY build
considering you make the better looking and more professional looking trolleys, this 1 looks like something a guy on the street would and could build
couldnt you make it that the Backpack fits inside a trolley and hides it, it could then look professional but when doing houses you could whip it out and its a backpack
-
Thanks Matt
Good comment, just didnt want to make the trolley too expensive. Will consider your idea.

but with a little bit more expense comes a little bit more class
-
It looks like you have to be connected to the hose trolley via the hose? is this true? If so what is the length of hose? can you operated it without being tethered? also how many litres of water does the tank take and whats the cost.
-
Thanks Matt
That has been my philosophy
But lots of window cleaners want Cheap! and class doesnt interest them. That message comes across clearly time and time again.
No offence guys its just a fact.

The reel will hold 50 metres of 1/2" hose. The hose from the tank isnt tethered it was just a mock up for the photo.
The tank capacity is only 16 litres as its a backpack, several window cleaners stated that a trolley would be benificial as the back pack could get tiring by the end of the day.

Any idea on the price

i agree with you, plenty go cheap, i know i did, built a trolley system using a trolley the same as Peter f's a pump box and a RO unit that does 100 Gal's a day
total cost 625 quid, compared to the more expensive "off the self deals" its about half price
you backpack and cart i guess will knock the price down a fair amount from what i paid (i know it will as i know the price of the backpack and very good it is too ;))
couldnt you have 2 types of trolley/cart to hold the backpack, the type you have in the picture and a more expensive option, with closed sides and a lid on it, it would hide all the "workings" and look better

Matt
As you will have seen - any thing is possible

The backpack normal price is £260.00 + Vat but we are doing a special price for Windex so if you order up to Saturday 9th the Price is £220.00 + Vat
The trolley with 50 metre hose reel £169.00 + vat

What do you get for the £220 eg does it come with a pole - brush head etc
-
Williamx
The backpack is a 16 litre tank with a built in 12 volt battery and a 12 volt pump.

Nice to meet you at the show and I look forward to my backpack being delivered on Tuesday. Just need to set up the CD player and speakers so I can play the Ghostbusters theme while I'm cleaning windows. ;D ;D
Don't forget to fit the extra long belt as the one fitted is a wee small for me. I do have a couple of more questions
Is the pump a demand feed pump like the trolley systems? so I can use it with my pole which has an on/off valve fitted.
How much are the batteries?
Many thanks
