Russ,

Unless you are happy having these requests for the next few years   ;D  I would suggest posting a copy of your letter in this section.

If you are happy to do this then don't forget to take out any personal information it contains - you could get stalkers phoning if not LOL  ;D ;)

Here's what I use:

The “pure water” window cleaning system

Your windows have been cleaned today using a method which will soon be the industry standard. As a company wanting to be at the forefront of our industry, we have decided to invest in this technology which involves the use of telescopic poles and 100% pure water, which we filter through state of the art reverse-osmosis filters and de-ionisation vessels.

We are embracing this technology for a number of reasons

1). Better cleaning results.  The major advantage of pure water is its desire to return to its impure state; hence its capacity to absorb large amounts of dirt from your windows. This process involves brushing your windows clean with pure water which will dry naturally to a streak free shine, due to the absolute purity of the water used.

2). Health and safety.  Legislation being brought into effect will limit the use of ladders as temporary workstations. The law as we understand it, now states that ladders can only be used when all viable alternatives have been considered. As a company, we have decided that water-fed pole systems are a safer viable alternative and are worth the investment. If the job can be completed to the same high standard without standing on a ladder, then we have an obligation to embrace this method. We have also found the extra expense involved in the specialist equipment is partially offset by reduced insurance premiums, and increased speed of working.

3). Environmentally friendly. Pure water only is used, eliminating the need for any harmful detergents and chemicals.

4). Reduced disturbance. No more dents in your lawn! Obviously we tried to minimise this, but sometimes the `old fashioned method` made it very difficult

5). Windows may stay cleaner, longer! The absence of sticky soap residue means that dirt will find it harder to cling to your windows, hence your windows stay cleaner for longer.

6). As your windows will be brushed clean almost unavoidably the frames and sill’s will be cleaned at the same time.

7). We can now reach with ease previously inaccessible aspects of your property. Third floor windows, conservatory roofs, windows above conservatory’s etc. that we had previously been unable to clean.

8). Water-fed pole cleaning works in the rain! Although we will not work in severe weather, showery misty weather will no longer hinder our work. This will help us to ensure a more regular and professional service to all of our customers.

9). Increased privacy. No more odd faces peering through your upstairs windows!.

Please note that over the space of two or three visits the process will `leach` all deposits from around the frames, resulting in an improved finish each time, until ultimately the finish will effectively be sterile. Please be patient if the initial visit is not perfect, as we have been forewarned by our suppliers that two or three visits can be necessary for maximum effect.

Please feel free to phone and discuss any part of the above or indeed any other aspect of our services. If you have any concerns about this new way of cleaning your windows please let me know and we will endeavour to alleviate your concerns.

Many thanks for this, would you be able to send one to my address. It's cjultra@aol.com

As some of the soil can wick up after the 1st restorative clean and would prove helpful.
