Hi! I'm looking to make my own WFP using an addis brush etc but wondering which telescopic pole to use. Which one's will be able to take an internal hose? I'll only use a two section pole which will be used on the bottoms. Which do you reccommend to get? Your advice is much appreciated! Thanks! :)

I bought a cheap melody chrome handled brush from tesco and made that into a wfp for the downstairs. Its not telescopic, but works a treat on the downstairs windows, normally get this out on bungalows.

do you think I could make telescopic one? The only trouble I have is the hose getting trapped each time it's extended! :)

I have never made a telescopic one before, the hose should be ok it works on all other poles that extend!

Why does the hose get trapped ? The smaller diameters should stop the hose from tending to track bakwards.
Why dont you use an unger 2x1metre with the plastic end removed. and drill an exit hole in the top 3". Or just use it with outside the hose supply, then you could remove the brush for hand use/fanning.

thats exactly what I do, also the good thing about that is you know you can replace the locking collars cheapily when they wear out.
I tried a harris telescopic decorating pole from b&q, worked great but was'nt too long before it would'nt lock any longer or would get seized up.
Get one of these too, lasts longer than the plastic ones and adapts the angle joint to fit on an unger style polehttp://www.cleantech.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_36&products_id=221

For downstairs you may find the 1 metre section a tad too long, so you could cut say 10" off and still use the extension section. I often did this with the 30 metre- have a small ground floor top piece and often just whipped it for the bottoms leaving the rest of the pole assembled. No idea what a "unitec " is now as I am no longer trad. but there is also anothe topic chatting about glass fibre decorators poles, they are warmer to the touch but not sure about spares.
I think there is also a warm to touch ettore/ or winspray pole.
