Title: 2 questions in one guys
Post by: Pete_Riley on June 30, 2004, 08:34:17 pm
Hi all, firstly I have an ettore pole which extends to about 18ft.I am absolutely crap with it si I would like to know how anyone else uses theirs.I have tried with washer then squeegie and you dont want to see the results.I have recently tried it with a scrim in the fixi-clamp and I still aint happy.Any tips would be helpful thanks.Secondly I am looking to buy an estate car to use for my window cleaning and private use.Which is the best road to go down regarding tax etc.People tell me its best to buy on credit so you can claim so much of the repayments back from tax.Any help again thanks.

Practice practice practice, and even more practice.

Try holding the squeegee in your hand cleaning a bottom window you can reach, move the squeegee around as if it were attached to your pole, if you can get good results this way then you should get good results when it's on the pole.

Before water fed poles I used poles with squeegee for all my high window cleaning, so it can be done.

Have you tried a "backflip" or a "ledger"?
As Peter says - practise.

For blading right down to the bottom of the window when you're using an extension pole and the sill gets in the way.  You can also use an angle bracket on the end of the pole, set to whatever angle you wish.
