Title: help cleaning glass block wall
Post by: dave_carroll on May 30, 2004, 12:55:05 am
been asked to do a factory with one of those glass walls built with those glass blocks. can do the outside easy with a wfp. what about inside, its only 12' x 12' so its tee bar and squeegy on a pole but what about detailing? what about dry tee bar wrapped in scrim? will it work? any other ideas. also i normally charge a 50-100% premium for doing insides on domestics, will this formula work on commercial?
                thanks in advance,

Nightmare!
The detailing is hard as the blocks are usually grouted and your scrim just pulls on the stuff. Because the blocks are usually of an irregular shape, you would only get away with using soft rubber. I use a 6" squeegee, and then wrap with the scrim for detailing.
Time consuming, painful and knackers your tools.
See if it were possible to use your waterfed, give them 2 different prices.

karl,
thanks for reply, the only trouble with using the wfp inside even with a slow flow rate is i would need a wet & dry vac and another pair of hands to operate it, more expense  >:(, ah well more kit to be paid for by mr & mrs punter  ;D.

If you can get your ladders to it, you can spray on your gg4 and buff up with a scrim.
