Title: How do i quote for 1200 square meters of windows?

Hi,

I've been asked to quote for 1200 square meters of windows.  The problem is the building is not built yet and I normally price a job by the look of it.  They sent me an email asking how much it would cost.

Any suggestions on how much I should charge?
I know it's difficult to say but a rough guide would be good.

Is the job local , could you not go and have a look at the  building drawings , then you can see how many windows there are , how high they are , pricing it without seening  it or at least a picture is asking for trouble

Hi Squeaky

We have priced these before best thing to do is give them an estimate and tell them you will be able to give them a firm quote when you can see what you have to clean.

Depends what sort of job it is.

Cutain wall glass regularly cleaned could be up to 400 sq. meters per hour.  If the glass is regular windows they will then be spaced out which would take longer.

Or is it a 1200 sq. meters building? Typically would have a window every 100 sq. feet (9.25 sq. meters) so 130 windows at whatever rate you clean/charge.

You really need to see the job if it's large to look at other variables that could affect your time.

I think I got the same email. Here it is in the full wording:-
Dear Sir,
GLOBAL ltd is an international investment company from Romania.
In this year we intended to build two buildings in your area buildings which we will rent to some of our clients.
We have to make a very good business plan for this business and we need to know how we will spend our many in maintains this buildings.
Our intention is to know from the beginning what are the exact cost of cleaning the windows of the buildings in a whole year and that why we ask from you an offer to analysed your services prices.
If we will find that it is lucrative for us to work whit your company we intended to sign a contract whit you for a long period of time.
If you are interested to work whit us please send your offer as soon as possible to our mail address.
We intended to clean the windows five times per year and the surface that must be cleaned it will be around 1200 square maters.

Has anyone had the e mail asking if they need any staff , I had a email asking me if I needed any staff as they can supply as many non English speaking people as I need , and they work cheap. I just deleated the e mail
