first time i had attended the trade show though a member for many years, i attended the seminars and found them informative but how about some of the members giving there stories i,m sure a little bit of prompting could get us some good guest spekers from within the fed there must be some real rags to riches stories that could inspire us all. 95% of our job is about motivation could we motivate each other? how about a flier to all members asking if they would consider.
also a lot of bored wives and kids could the fed do something for them while partners are attending. even a room set aside with coffee and biscuits would be nice.

thouhgt the weekend was another great event but from talking to other window cleaners at the show most of them woould prefer it to be at blackpool every year do you guys and girls on this site agree ???
-
I'd go for Blackpool.

Blackpool is good for me
(10 miles away )

;DI think it should be blackpool every year, its a family weekend then!more people go to blackpool then anywhere ;Dit is only then fed members that can give there support in this matter, but as normal only the few who decide to speak up,or go to the show anyway ??? so unless there is more support from the members, more action then talk is what is needed, ???we will see ???
so what are your thoughts the fed has some 2400 members, how many of them came to the show

Terry
Do you know how many badges were sent out for the show, I know not all will turn up but its a rough idea

why does the fed not run training courses for basic windows and wfp users and not leave it up to the suppliers. perhaps more would come if courses on over weekend .so as to give impartial advice and training then people could then see suppliers and be able to make the choice easier with the knowledge gained by training
-
good idea why not have trining days and get members to bring vans and do training could refund expenses would make it great fun and help people to avoid marketing and see reality of wfp plenty of the members have enough expertise now with systems
-
Brighton is much better than Blackpool ;D
But I guess thats the North - South divide talking
-
Blackpool is Cheesey!
Somewhere in the midlands like coventry or birmingham might be more convenient for both us soft Southerners and you hardy Northerners
-
;D a reply to John! not sure how many badges were
sent out in total,it may be those who only booked to go!
the hotel gets booked by the office,a lot of members could have gone but did not!

Why is it every other cleaning trade show is held on a Monday to Friday? Not to mention all the other Trade shows.
Window Cleaning managers and owners of larger Cleaning companies are unlikely to attend on a Saturday.
Having a trade show on Saturday relegates it to a bootfair/ school fete status.
Very many Window cleaners would rather be at a Football match having fun with their kids or fun with their wife, girlfriend or in some cases both ;) or playing golf.
I would go as far to say 100x more window cleaners visit The Cleaning Show in Birmingham and even the British Window Cleaning visitors at the Rai in Amsterdam far outweigh the National Fed Trade Show.
Lets move the Fed Show up to a professional status
