Title: van leasing anyone used one for wfp

i have been looking at leasing a van but am worried about corrosion affecting future value. As it appears that when the van goes back at end of 4 year contract you could incur a bill for water damage.

Has anyone had experience of leasing for 4 years, or owning a van from new for wfp and running for 4 years?

How much corrosion damage occured and did you get a bill from the leasing company? Would a speedliner floor work?

any advice would be beneficial thanks

I was told that as long as it was done professionally there would be no problem.  With an older van this might be more apparent, but with a new van you could always cost in the price of a redo with the floor into the 4 years, most major WFP suppliers will do this service for you, perhaps at the same time you swap the system to the new van.

if your leasing over 4 years then the van will be brand new and come with a 5-10 year corrosion warranty as standard, so it wouldnt be your problem.

Can you clam 100% of the costs for leasing a van, back for the tax man?

If there was a problem, yes.  Much the same as you would have to put a dent right, or paintwork.  Ionics want about £750 for a Speedliner floor.

leasing company tells me it can,t see much in small print of contracts about corrosion damage only perferation in body work. just htought i,d post this for others considering leasing

If you have had a Watertank / system fitted and then want to hand it back after 3 to 4 years they van should be reinstated to as much as the original condition as possible. Rubber bungs could be fitted in the area where securing bolts have been removed. The better the van looks the better the value the leasing company will put on it. You dont want to have to pay a premium at the end of term.
Speedliner goes a long way in keeping the interior looking good.
