Title: backpack switch problem
Post by: wfp master on February 04, 2025, 11:15:16 am
had problems with my backpack not switching on.   the wires for flow control  had broken off.  got it working again but cant switch it off after everything is connected up. i have 1 red wire from switch not connected to anything  but dont know where it goes. i have to disconnect from battery to switch it off. not sure if it goes to 1 of  pump wires. thanks

I have bought a few of these and they are good because of higher flow rate. Now I have the PF Trolly and don't need them but still going strong. Group together and you can get 4 for £110 each if you know any other windy cleaners out there. Once they break I just toss them and buy a new one. You want to get in before the Spring arrives because they are usually sold out.

If you want to cure the symptom then put a switch in the battery lead that you take off to stop it?

Do not run without a fuse. If there is a fault, the fuse is there to protect things as the battery has enough energy to set fire to wiring. Reconnect the fuse asap.
The diagram is here https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/media/wysiwyg/Backpack_v3_Wiring_for_Backpacks_Sold_After_20-10-2021.jpg
Not sure if they have one for pre 2021 but it should give you an idea to enable you to follow wires and check all is good.

Do you ride a horse too?

As said, don’t use without the fuse ffs.
