Title: Busy time
Post by: Scottish Cleaning Service on November 24, 2024, 09:13:08 am
What's happening, everyone seems to want things done as quick as possible. Even received a call wanting her and 3 neighbours gutters cleared and all the PVC cleaned as soon as possible. Doing it today and they are very happy, the scheme is only 5 years old. Understand the weather is holding us all back but temp in double figures now means a busy week for us, if you can handle it.

Had to cancel half way through the job because the wind increased. When I viewed the job Friday there was no cars out at the front and today, full. Ended up very well because the old woman needs a handy man and I'm the very fellow. More folk you meet the more work comes in, you are right, I need to slow down.

No new window cleaning enquiries will be cleaned before xmas now....

It happens every year. People who just want an xmas clean. Too busy cleaning my regulars...

Had 2 today and both were not interested in waiting until the new year!🤣👍

I'm finishing on Thursday 19th Dec and going back on the Monday 6th Jan so 17 days off....I'm moving  house over xmas too!🙂👍

Got caught out with new cleans a few years ago just before Christmas but lesson learned. Got a call for a first time in years clean because they were selling the house. Told him it would be £60 and money in my bank before I started the clean and not heard back from him. Great day today, finishing off the 4 pvc cleans that I began on Sunday. Best money I have made for months because I have the pf trolly and 25l mix did the 4 plus their bin lids.

I use the clocks changing  at the end of October as the cut off for taking on new work. Last thing i want is extra work over winter.

There's nothing wrong with taking on xmas cleans if you need/want the extra work/money but I don't.

I'm totally happy with my current workload.

I guess if your main work is add ons then this could be a very busy time leading up to xmas as a lot of people want their UPVC cleaned, gutters cleared, etc in time for the xmas break.
