I've mostly employed eastern Europeans in the past and I've never known them to want to not work because it's a bank holiday, this would come off their 28 days paid and they usually like to keep this for planned holidays abroad or home to visit family.

Because bank holidays are not a good time to go out places. Better to work bank holiday and have a normal week day off if you want a day out somewhere.

I've got a lot of larger houses and commercial jobs to clean  next week so don't like to overload any other day with 20+ flats(their 4 weekly and due monday)

Great thing about being self employed is we can all pick and choose what days we work!🙂

Have a good weekend chaps!👍

Unsure yet. We got married out there last week. We’re just starting the immigration process now, which can be a protracted process. Although I could go out there beforehand I wouldn’t have a work permit.

If I start cleaning out there it’ll probs just be pressure washing. If it was just that I think I’d want to carry on for the foreseeable. I’ve had enough of window cleaning.

The other option, which I like the sound of, is we’re planning on buying a place, so Laura can write, I can do my astrophotography. We’d look to get a place that needs renovating, so that would effectively be my new job and then sell it on a couple of years later making a profit.

Worked Good Friday but not working any Monday BHols.   Family are all off, so making the most of it.   Those days are worth more to me than taking a few bob.

Would not want to turn up into someone's back garden to see a huge family BBQ going on anyways.  Cringe moment.

I'm only working a few hours early morning so no danger of that happening plus they are all granny flats with no gardens!😄

I wouldn't clean normal houses on a bank holiday.👍

Dazmond, have you ever seen a Psychiatrist?
I think you should, you seem to have a disorder.
Narcissism maybe?

“ Narcissistic personality disorder involves a pattern of self-centered, arrogant thinking and behavior, a lack of empathy and consideration for other people, and an excessive need for admiration. Others often describe people with NPD as cocky, manipulative, ”

You can talk to me. I’m a Doctor.
