Having been on this forum in a carpet cleaning and window cleaning capacity for over 15 years, I'm now considering dipping my toes into pressure cleaning.... mainly driveways and patios.
Would someone be kind enough to provide a list of essential items to order to get started.....

Pressure washer - if your limiting yourself to domestic and its just an ad on then a petrol powered Jobbie - best is Honda but Lonchin in my experience does just as well - normally id recommend a 21 litres a minute but then you would need a buffer tank - so to keep it simple have a 15 litre machine that will run direct of mains water
2 lances with quick release ends - turbo nozzle and a 15 degree nozzle
waterproofs - good quality ones - steel cap boots
a good broom - sacks - shovel
Barrel of hypo and a quality sprayer like an IK9
thats the basics - FSC is an option but turbo is better at cleaning (don't use it on tarmac!)

I've finally worked out how much we charge per m2. Normally I quote by day for 1 man.
Block paving:
72m2 per day + 4 bags of sand @ £7 x 4 = £28 + 2 hours sanding
Sand: @ £7 x 4 = £28 ÷ 72 = 0.40 per m2.
Labour: £400 ÷ 72 = £5.50 per m2.
Re-sand labour: 2 hours + 1 hour traveling = £150 ÷ 72 = 2.08 per m2.
Total: £7.98 per m2
Everything else:
72m2 per day £400 ÷ 72 = £5.50 per m2.
I seems very expensive what we charge, it would be good to know what others charge as a bench mark.

could anyone recommend a decent 6ft ramp for a Ford Custom size van to give easy loading for a pressure washer

Mobility centres have a good selection for scooters and electric wheelchairs
