Can't you Just cut the plug off and fit your own three pin plug. ???
If its an american charger, is the voltage for it 240v or 110v
only asking these questions because I don't know the answers, but am keen to learn.

The voltage difference doesn't matter. If you purchase a UK backpack, it comes with an adapter that you can get for a couple of quid.
I wouldn't cut the plug off, just get an adapter.

I was just a bit curious with the comment american backpack,as there voltage is different to ours. but didn't know if they provided the UK 50htz 240v charger with it, then my advice to beefy is the same as yours.

i bought mine from US(ebay) i tried using a uk charger with it and blew the fuse on the battery. You can get a UK adapter for it from B&Q. Costs about £3 or something like that
