I have thought long and hard about the problem of removing weeds from gutters, especially those weeds with a large root ball formed hard under overhanging tiles.
I've had an idea to solve the problem and did this today. As you can see, Alex is busy on the computer while I was fiddling around with a new "invention" of mine on a small piece of gutter and downpipe I have set up in our unit.
Alex takes no notice (he is used to my messing about) but was as shocked as me at the results of my meddling.
I jammed some weeds hard under an overhang which could not be budged by an 1800 watt vac. How hard I jammed them, no vac could have moved them. But watch what happened. I believe we are to something game changing. It removes weeds in seconds, a quick vac and the job is done.

You used that drill and rotary pipe bender (or what ever it is - drain cleaner) before on a demo to remove blockages from the gutter's downpipe/swan neck a long time ago.

It was posted in 2014. I don't know if the date on the video is correct. Revolutionary - maybe yes, new - no.

In other news, when gutters are heavily clogged with leaves , debris etc and they're blocking your tubes up. Switch the pipe round to the outlet and blow instead. Then just blow the whole lot off mess right out the gutters, like that vid. No more blocked tubes and its quicker. They can always get the gardener to tidy up afterwards ;D

To use this wonderful tool on a drill would you need to use a ladder if you do why wouldn't you just pull the rubbish out by hand ??? ???
