Hi there, recently purchased an IONIC PRO 5 Thermo, need to purchase new filters, do I have to purchase these from IONIC or do other suppliers make filters that fit and work just as well? many thanks...

General you would have to use there filters but you could use a di vessel instead of there di filter , there own brand ro is rubbish to , the only Ionic's filters I use are the carbon sediment, 5 micron and water softener

Choose what you think is best suited to your needs. Personally I would go with 2 x 20" prefilter housings, 1 x sediment filter and 1 Fiberdyne carbon block. The 7 liter di vessel is a nice size for me and resin to fill the vessel with.

From the pump you can bypass all filters on those machines, after pump disconnect the hose and connect it back up to your own pre filters RO and resin

That's the point where they make the cash you look at how much resin is in those cartridges not a lot,I know someone who has 1 he spends loads on replacing those things on a regular basis. If you can get your water down to below 8-5 after RO the resin on board the vehicle will last ages-months.
