Title: Leaflet Drop
Post by: Gavin Davey on August 17, 2016, 01:56:35 pm
Hi All,

I am thinking of doing an initial leaflet drop of around 15,000.

Just wondering what people response rate seems to be from them.

Not that I do leaflet drops, but I seem to recall a figure of .001 percent perhaps a little higher if solo.

I,m confident M. Halliday will be along shortly to give a more comprehensive answer.

I used to do my own and pick the areas when I could be bothered I had 10,000 leaflets that lasted me 10 years .

I used to do about a couple of hours delivering so between 2 to 300

And 9 times out of 10 I got a job . I think viability had a lot to do with it as I had a sign written van

testing is key with all marketing. so your 15k you should split test. then you are on the path to your bench mark then once you have that you keep spilt testing trying to beat your best.

you should read the 80 20 rule

as an example adwords ctr averages out at 5% ctr then you should be getting 4 out 5 calls if you getting all then your cheap less your on expensive end of market. both work

when designing leaflets you have 3 areas your headline, offer and text. all make a difference in response rates.

hope that helps

Leaflet success depends on quite a few factors,.....

Who delivers them

How many leaflets are delivered with yours

Area delivered

Quality & message of leaflet...... Etc ....etc

Get all these right and you will have success with leaflets.

But leaflet marketing  has changed over the last 10yrs, a lot of people are getting a leaflet  then checking you out on the Internet so you need a website..... Then when you ask them where they got your number they say the Internet  but the leaflet put your name in their head.
