Title: Targeting commercial guttering...
Post by: a900 on June 23, 2016, 12:19:05 pm
Hi. I have experience in domestic guttering and have found that my existing windows customer base is a good way to target that work along with leafleting houses.

But, for those that clear commercial guttering, I want to know how you have found best to target commercial gutter jobs?

Most commercial properties are rented so you have to contact the owners of the building.
I pick up very few!

That was the impression I got. So a large amount of business I could approach would get me no where. Unlike leafleting domestic which has worked.

I have had domestic gutters from the Google and the website but not commercial.

Walk round any town centre and look up, more or less every gutter is blocked solid, with weeds growing in them.

And that is exactly why I'm wanting to target commercial. There is plenty of work available. Just not sure how to get it.

I guess it shows that businesses arnt so bothered about maintainence. Or can they not find the business that will clear the gutters?

As said earlier, contact the owner of the building.
Good luck!
