Anyone suggest company that supplies 240v RO controllers with?
I have seen the Gardiners £670 , just looking for a cheaper alternative
-
Hi Steve,
It will depend on what features you require on the system.
A simple shut off unit can cost £79.95 + vat.
You can then also have: https://www.grippatank.co.uk/ll-s2-static-ro-controller - this is cheaper than the Auto Flush controller you are referring to below (https://www.grippatank.co.uk/liquid-logic-s3-static-pump-ro-autoflush-system-controller)

Looks pretty good
Do you sell a retro fit auto flush kit for the S2

Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
The S2 uses a different version of software and hardware, so sadly this is not possible.
The S3 however does have the AutoFlush incorporated, and makes the system management and fill process a no brainer process.
-
The s3 seems ricoculously expensive for what it does though :o
-
Why do you need a 240v controller ? just get yourself a 240v to 12v transformer and bobs your uncle,
plus its a lot safer than 240v around water.
-
Sean K, We use a 240v mains booster pump, hence the need for 240v controller
Grippa, Thanks for the info, Will probably order the S2
Robert , The S3 is a bit pricy, I only need the S3 for the auto flush..I can buy and auto flush kit from RO man for £100

Spring manufacture the S3 for Gardiner.
I can honestly say it does far more than just flush a membrane and flll the tank. It has a number of 1st to market features and is designed for those who need large volumes of Water and High levels of automation.

What else does it do then?

Im sure Oliver will provide more detail.
But lets start with
A flow meter to accurately monitor water use
Hi level TDS system shut down
Pressure monitoring that will shut down the system if the water supply fails.
LCD display
-
but it wont divert the water away from the di on startup to avoid the tds spike destroying the resin , thats the most important extra over the s2 that i wanted to see .
-
Please explain the S3 features
We produce 4-5000 of product water per day , our system is in an unmanned unit, which is a short drive from home
Would also be good to view the RO stats from home or whilst on holiday
I'm hoping you will say, it can be connected to the Internet so I can view the stats from a mobile app
-
Hi Robert & Steve
Re the feature rich S3 Oliver will come in with a lot more detail later.
Robert you are correct in that the S3 does not currently divert water away from the DI during the initial TDS spike. It handles that spike in a different way.
The V3 and S3 are among the most advanced units we have produced. They not only provide information they then autonomously do something with that information.
As for the direction they evolve in well who knows where that path may lead.

Can someone give me the full specs of the S3 please as need to order one within the next couple days

Hi Steve,
Apologies for the delay in reply.
The S3 was designed for use where large amounts of pure water are needed producing autonomously and accurately.
The Flow meter allows accurate measurement of water used - this aides with carbon and service alerts.
In turn the system will warn when the RO membrane is in need of replacement.
Accurate TDS monitoring also means the System can set an alarm or even shut down if TDS on the RO or DI is to high.
The Unit also features a pressure monitor. Should the water supply fail the system will shut down preventing the pump running dry and causing damage
The System can also be set to have on demand filling so the tank is kept full at all times.
The system is also has a fully automated flush system - which flushes the RO every hour for 5-10 minutes.
The system will also control a booster pump and solenoid system by means of floats that are fitted to the side of your holding tank.
I hope this helps!
The Unit has been independently CE tested to ensure it meets and exceeds all the required safety standards
It is one of the first units to use LCD displays so to provide accurate information and ease of Use. Like all our controls considerable development time and energy was expended to make the User interface intuitive and straight forward to use.
The level of automaton is a first with in the industry. If you are making a 500 to a 1000 litres water a day it is probably over kill and other units may suffice.
If you are producing large volumes and have a number of vehicles and simply must have supply of Pure water and you want Full automation it will quickly recoup its cost simply in man hours saved and more efficient use of membranes and DI

Hi Robert,
The system is has a fully automated flush system - which flushes the RO on startup thus reducing the TDS spike along with flushing every hour for 5-10 minutes.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response but I ordered the S2 from gardiners this morning
Can you let me know if you release a controller that can be viewed via an app remotely, To view the RO stats from home / office or whilst on holiday would be a big bonus
