When was the last time you charged the battery?

if not the battery making it cut out, could be the controller needing calibrating or if no calibration on controller i manually adjust the pressure switch screw on the pump.

Battery...
Mine does the same thing when battery is getting low.
I have a split charge relay fitted but on the rounds I work closer to home the battery doesn't get enough charge so sometimes runs low.
I normally just keep the engine running as much as possible until I can get home and get the battery charged.

Have you pulled all the hose out it can do this when it's kinked somewhere on the reel and it's normally right at the end of 100 metre everytime, pull it all out and pull it tight when reeling back in it stops it doing it again for a while.

yes .turns out it needed to be re calibrated as the pump is 4years old and starting to get a bit worn seems it needed a bit more juice ie re calibrating
