Been using the Gardiners Quick- LoQ angle adapters since they came out.
Works for me. ;)
What about you??
-
I have had a couple jam and I couldn't get the brush off without using a screwdriver..but I think they're a good idea and continue to use them :)
-
They tend to swell and jam. We spray them with silicone spray when we service the pole.
-
Found if you lightly sand it until it fits in without forcing it in.
Also could check this out it will make it easier to put QL on your brushes without pressing the button in.

I'm not one for constantly changing brushes so they don't do anything for me plus I like the option of being
able to angle the brush slightly for the odd window where its needed.
-
Have QLs on all our poles.
As all our tools have been adapted to fit on to a QL.
-
Not for me, I don't like the 90 degree socket makes the profile to big in narrow spaces , like others they can jam, but I believe Alex has addressed this problem

Don't get on with them at all - I swap the whole neck and brush every time. Who ever invented it needs shooting!

HA HA HA LOL I am sure you will work it out. ::)roll

I've used a quick loc system in different applications - even my windsurfer had an extendible boom with those poxy push buttons - it's crap.

You must be doing something wrong never had any problems and used it on all our tools. :)
-
Yes, what I'm doing wrong is not dismantling it twenty times in five minutes! Use it for a month or two in our dreadful weather with muck and water washing into the join then try and release it with gloves on or with freezing fingers - it's useless!
-
Gardiners have modified and improved the quick loq system. Don't like them for two reasons: 1. easier to replace the whole gooseneck than replace the brush. 2Like the swivel as close to the brush as possible.
-
Why would you want to dismantle it.
When we use it on a pole just for trad cleaning swap tools in/out all day without a problem??
-
Use Copaslip before you put it all together. Then nothing sticks no matter how long it's been in use.

Here are some projects did relating to QLs made them and all work no problems.
It's 11.20 PM here.
So will leave you with it, give you something to do .LOL ;D

Same here. I don't like the 90 degree socket. The angle brush adapter is much better. Alex doesn't bring out a Quick-loQ for the angle adapter, so I would go with the Exceed option if I needed to change brushes regularly.
Sorry H-Man, I'm confused as I thought you were the Quick-loQ originator and made your own.

That's the baby, and that amount will last you the rest of your life. The tiniest smear does the job and stays in the connector for probably about six months. I've bought a 500g tub (link below) but that's for all our franchisees combined. And it's still far too much.

Cheers for that Vin.
Just ordered it above from your link.

Yes that is correct but saying the one's I received from Alex which are the ones you have over your way.
Have no problems with the actual QL it self.
You also said something about Alex bring out a QL for a angle adapter is this what you mean??

I use them with long neck swivels, a bit of WD40 keeps it all working correctly.
However, I also MUCH prefer 45 degree sockets- makes everything work much better. I have hinted that Alex may wish to bring out a 45 degree QL socket but still await a response. ;D

No. Instead of a 90 degree QL I would like to try an angled QL
-
I more than hinted but the answer was no :(
Still now I have the univalve head changes will be extremely fast - better than quick loc

-
Like this but QL

-
The above wouldn't work as a QL, a spring loaded ball bearing wouldn't be enough to stop the brush spinning in the
socket at the slightest bit of resistance.

Put this up earlier but only one person looked at it.
This is based on that angle ,
And yes have also suggested this to ???
Check it out.

Don't want a swivel the bracket still makes the profile too wide

Here is a video we did using this type of swivel.
Is this what you want it to do?

ive used the quik locs since they came out.miles better than the screw thread type angle adaptors as sometimes i couldnt get the brush square on or they d move when scrubbing.
i did have a few problems with them jamming but alex seems to have fixed that now.the newer quik locs are a breeze to change brushes.
-
So not following what the problem is?
Is it this??

That's for the swivel. It gets the point of swivel as close to the brush head/glass as possible. Works extremely well.

Just to reiterate; use the tiniest of smears. If you put too much of it anywhere and it's visible (say on the neck of the pole) wipe it off as it'll never wear off on its own and you don't want it to have even the slightest chance of it ending up on your brush bristles.

So are you talking about the 90% to the brush on this ?
And change it so it has a slight angle down wards??
This way you would have better smoother side movement.

Something like this ??? ::)roll
