What have they done ;D looks horrible...

Alternatively there is the ford transit:

I dont know which is the better vehicle?
-
I saw one in real life today-I think it looks much better in real life.
Didn't see the inside mind...

Don't be fooled by the photo of the transit, it is showing the limited model which is a high spec. The price shown is for the entry level 250 model which is as good as useless for window cleaning due to it's low payload.

They also have this vivaro offer:
http://www.globalvans.co.uk/new-vans/vauxhall/vivaro_swb/16cdti_[120ps]_sportive_van_27t_euro_5/24311/b
And this transit custom offer:
http://www.globalvans.co.uk/new-vans/ford/transit_swb/low_roof_van_trend_tdci_125ps/25440/b
Im looking for Hire purchase - been looking around lots of sites and a lot of them don't offer HP just contract, lease etc.
-
Make sure of the payload, as I think the vivaro model is the lower payload !

If you work on your own and have no plans for a second man the 270 might be fine, but if you need a 2 man system you will probably be looking at the 310 model.

Thanks for the info I did wonder if it would be enough I have a 650ltr upright 2 man setup - will this be too heavy?
-
Go and get a Hyundai iload 2.5 diesel - 5 year warranty. 1060kg payload. Ok for wfp only - 650L 2 man. It's what I got after the Doblo as a 1 man.
If you want 800L get a Fiat/Pug/with 1200kg payload.

I have just purchased a new VW T32 Transporter 4 Motion 1300kg but not cheap. And with extras it will take 16wks to be built. :(

4 motion and 1300kg?
I thought the largest payload with 4x4 was closer to 1100kg?
Have you got the link Roy?
-
That why its a custom build, but they do them. Also 3 engine sizes 110bhp I think 140 bhp and 180bhp.
https://www.volkswagen-vans.co.uk/range/transporter/
The T32 is the biggest and comes with long and short wheel base and 3 heights.

But the 4 motion diff and added ancillaries are heavy, I'm not sure how heavy, but the GVW is still 3200kg which takes away from the payload, ones I could find we're 1195kg and 1183kg. Engines size-they're all 2.0 with different turbo's (the 180ps is twin turbo)
Sorry to pester-that's the van I want but with the spec I wanted it was barely 1100kg, that extra 200kg would really help if you don't mind sharing your stuff...

You're worth it mate ;D

we have had over 60 new vans in 15 years , and we always thought the same as you but , if you have to work and look round for a deal then you will never buy a second van again , there reliable , they have warranty , you get a lump off your tax and vat , no damage to them from last owner , and if your the only driver and not a drity pig they will still look new when there three years old let alone the saveing on garage bills and lost work to down time
-
Thanks for your advice, today I went to my local hyundai dealership, asked about the I load and the salesman said that they don't stock them anymore because they have stopped manufacturing them or stopped importing them into the country, and are hard to get hold of?
I am a bit unsure of this?

:o :o :o over 60 new vans in 15 years, you must have some amount of vans on the road. Didn't you say you have bought loads at auction as well?

Yeah new van sounds great but as a sole trader i think i lose quite a bit on it i am sure.

Depends on how long you intend to keep it for

if i had to buy a vw t5 i would have it for years. My mileage is very low each year. My vivaro had 34k on it in 2008 and at present it sits at 82k
